Leadership Upshur is a development opportunity for people who live or work in and around Upshur County, WV. Leadership Upshur is a program of study designed to help aspiring leaders (personal, business, non-profit organizations, government or other) develop the skills necessary to grow in their positions. This program will expose the participants to skills and topics in leadership, habits, effectiveness, emotional intelligence, civic engagement, and more. We are accepting applicants now!

If you are looking to be better equipped as a leader in your business or community, Leadership Upshur is for you.
9 In-Person Classes
Participants are required to attend 90% of our in-person sessions and Zooms in order to graduate. These sessions will help our participants learn and grow from other leaders.
3-4 Leadership Books
Our team has hand-picked a list of life changing leadership books included in the program to help participants learn and grow using proven leadership techniques.

Each year participants will chose a community service project to complete during one of their days in the program. These projects are great for the community.
Rigorous Curriculum
This program is designed to challenge you to become a well-rounded leader. Participation is required and will move you out of your comfort zone and into growth!

We have individual spots, company sponsored spots, and will have scholarships available for individuals who need them. Applications are due by August 1st, 2023. Class size will be limited to ensure the best possible experience for the group.
